His liver looks bad
Yesterday (Thursday), Zola did see the Oncologist. He also had a test to look at his liver and they said it looked like it had chicken pox. So that’s not a good thing. Today he had an appointment with some doctors about the “gamma knife” radiation treatment thing and tomorrow he will have a thin-slice brain CT to map everything out that might need treatment. Nothing is scheduled for Sunday.
Monday is the big day when they will put a tube in through his chest and examine the tumor directly. They will then run tests on the cells to know what they are up against. He expects that they will probably put him on chemo Monday evening as soon as they find out. That’s as far out as I know right now.
I had dinner with Zola yesterday and he seemed pretty normal, which was good to see. His spirits were up and he had about his usual sense of humor.
He did have a cough, though. This is caused by the tumor causing some pneumonia in his left lung. Besides that, he has no pain, but says he can feel it “clutching” at his left lung. He actually filmed portions of three TV episodes today! His voice is a bit off due to all the coughing.
Monday evening will be the time when we’ll know what he’s really up against.
Zola smoked for about 25 years but quit about 20 years ago. One theory is that the cancer was being kept at bay by his immune system. When he had this recent heart surgery, his immune system became distracted by other things and the cancer was able to take root. That’s one theory about the cause of this, anyway.
His mind is still clear and he’s still physically strong. He has no pain, but the coughing is becoming more and more of a problem. The prognosis is still unknown at this point. It’s taking its toll on his family, so your prayers are very much appreciated.

There are few Christian programs that I watch, and yours is one of the few. It holds diversity, depth, yet clarity when explaining Israel by interfacing its past to today events; then projecting its tomorrow via scripture. We pastor a small deaf congregation in Riverside, CA & have come thru our own trial by fire in that the state took our church by eminent domain. We were awarded 4.5 million dollars in order to re establish. Your programs have often helped us provide current information related to Israel. We’ll be taking about 40 folks mostly deaf end of March for 17 days. The information you’ve provided has helped with my planning site explainations. We’ve noted for the past 45 years of ministry, that whenever churches, ministries, persons will have a victory of somekind the enemy attacks the church and its members fiercely, often, and unexpectedly for the purpose of diverting them from their true function & purpose that of spreading the Gospel! You, Zola & your family, stand not alone for millions of christians are now facing and have faced and will have faced these fiery darts; yet hold tightly together bonded by prayer imbued by His Holy Spirit. If indeed, Zola, you are promoted there is no doubt we who follow you even from afar will feel a tremendous hole in our hearts & will miss your earthly presence sorely! For you and your family we pray hold you before the Father as you all face this trial of your faith. No doubt the Lord will speak to each of you His Special words of instructions, guidance, & comfort as he does each of us who have faced similar circumstances. It is not easy! But one day we who believe will hear “Well done, my Good & Faithful Servant – Enter into the joys of the Lord!” May the Lord sustain you and His grace & mercy uphold you in the right Hand of His righteousness. I was shocked when I read of Zola’s latest battle. I will be praying for him, his family, and for his doctors. I will post a prayer request for him on a prayer and praise board I’m affiliated with, that is mainly for folks battling cancer, but we’ll pray for any need. The addy is http://www.allin1accord.com and I know the ladies there will be praying as I’ve often mentioned Zola’s program and web site.
Shalom!

Dear Zola,
I am an Oncology nurse & am fully aware of the problems that have beset you. I do much counselling in my place of work, and am always comforted by Believers! For them, it is a “win – win” situation. The Bible states that to be “…absent from the body, is to be present with the LORD”. What a source of comfort! Isaiah 57:1 & 2, is a verse I leave with you and your precious family. May God comfort all of you and surround you with his infinite presence.
As one who is “Awaiting the Shout!”

Dear Zola and Family,
We were very saddened by the news of Zola’s illness. We know that God still performs miracles and we (our family and we) are asking Him to heal Zola or even to cause the cancer to go into remission. Of course, like you, we want His will to be done.
We enjoy Zola’s program so vey much. We pray that the Lord will let it continue and we will do our part financially as well as prayerfully, to help that be done.
Sincerely in the Lord Jesus Christ,
Bob and Elaine

Zola will be greatly missed. I feel like I lost a brother in the Lord even though I never personally met him. I caught his shows every chance I could get & I enjoy the newsletters. I am unable to help financially but I pray for the misistry & that our Yeweh will continue to prosper you all & Jerusalem will return to their KING. I too have been fighting stage 4 cancer. It matastisized from my lung to my brain & lymph node. As of now 4/25/06 I am doing better. I am done with chemo. No cancer left in the brain (they removed the tumor)the one in the lung has shrunk significantly. Yashua be praised. I cannot wait to get to heaven & meet Zola along with Yashua. Be blessed. Maranatha Shalom

As I watched part one of Zola’s testimony last Saturday night I was saddened to hear that he had cancer. On Sunday I went to his website to order some of his books and noticed that he had already went home to be with the Lord on April 19th.
His testimony touched me deeply. He was so genuine and it is obvious that God’s hand was upon his ministry and life in a mighty way. He was a man full of the spirit and much wisdom.
I love this website. It answered so many questions for me and lines up with God’s word & everything I have been taught and believe. I plan to share it with friends.
I pray that your family will prosper in all things and your ministry will continue on as a legacy of Zola and his deep faith and commitment to the truth!
May God continue to work through the Levitt family with this ministry.

Shalom deeply beloved,
How altogether sad I am as I saw my brother (whom I will meet Up There)had departed. We will not know Zola’s true impact until we all go Home! Can you imagine the mulititudes of grateful Jews who through Zola’s ministry are accepted at the throne of grace?! It will take Zola many years (if there are “years” in eternity) to meet them all!
I too am a Jew in the Lord, by Yeshua’s design alone. Now my prayer is that “all Israel would be saved”. I pray that He starts with my family.None of them know their great Messiah, and some deny the Lord altogether.
I have given Zola’s books to some unbelieving famiy (“The Trouble with Christians, the Trouble with Jews”). The seed has been planted, and God will give the increase as He wills.
It may be very soon (as Zola also believed) that we all will no longer see “through a glass darkly”. Let us work while it is still the day…the night is coming when no man can work.
Love in name of the HOLY one of Israel, Yeshua!
Jaymie

It’s amazing how we believers are truly one in Him. I too feel such a loss.
Just to say I love you all even though I am only grafted into the family and have never met you.
Prayers and tears, and hope and thanksgiving for Yeshua our Pesach!
It won’t be long.

May you find strength in knowing Zola is in the everlasting arms or our Lord and Savior Y’shua. My only regret is not being able to participate in a pilgrimage to Israel under the guidance of your husband.
I do plan to visit if not this year, next year but under a prepaid plan. I will remember Zola through his LL which I very much appreciate for bringing us the truth about the Israel/Palestinian conflict.
My blessings to all family members, friends, collaborators, and TV, radio, and newsletter reading public who, as I do, will miss him greatly.

I am a Christian whose Jewish Roots were rooted deeply through listening to Zola. I use his first name as I consider him a very close friend though we have never met. He has made me a solid Zionist and an active Israel supporter. It never ceases to amaze me how G-d choses a man like Zola to spread His Word and attack the enemey on all fronts with nothing but the Truth.
Zola has went to Shalom with G-d but he will be remembered by all and his voice will never be silent here on earth.
Happy is he by the name of Zola who is with G-d.

I am so grateful for the teaching and insights that Brother Levitt gave through you all ministry. I will definitely miss his comments, his portrayal of Israel and the things he points as it pertains to our present times. I thank you so much for you and Brother Levitt and the ministry GOD gave to you all. I love whatching the TV ministry and also reading the Levitt Letter. My sincere condolences for your loss, but yet our gain that we will see him again. The peace of GOD, the peace in God and the peace with GOD for you and your family always. For our GOD is victorious! death has no rule over us nor can it overtake us. Our LORD, defeated death, and it is evidence that HE lives and is forevermore, and HE is our assurance that Brother Levitt lives and is comforted by the LORD. So is that same COMFORTER with you all and the Levitt ministry and family.
GOD Bless!
