Passover Seder to be Held in Warsaw Ghetto for First Time in 76 Years

By: Ilanit Chernick; Jerusalem Post – jpost.com

Before the Holocaust, approximately one-third of Warsaw was Jewish.

On April 19, 1943, the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising broke out, which was on the eve of the Jewish festival of Passover. German troops stormed the ghetto, intent on completing the deportation process within three days, yet were ambushed by Jewish rebels. This year, close to eight decades later, families of ghetto survivors will celebrate the Jewish festival of redemption together.

By: Emily Jones; CBN News – cbn.com

JERUSALEM, Israel – Airbnb has reversed its decision to ban home listings in Israeli settlement communities in historic Judea and Samaria, also known as the West Bank.

Airbnb announced the policy change after a court settlement Monday between the hospitality service and several American Jewish plaintiffs who sued the company.

Last November, the company vowed to “remove listings in Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank that are at the core of the dispute between Israelis and Palestinians.”

Tens of thousands will spend Tuesday in a different country, and while some made their plans before the elections were scheduled, many prefer simply to flee the commotion and be as far away as possible

Some 60,000 Israelis will be out of the country on Election Day on Tuesday, and unlike in some other countries, there is no absentee ballot (save for diplomats stationed in foreign countries). The exodus abroad began at the weekend, stepped up its pace on Sunday and is expected to continue throughout Monday and even into Tuesday.
