Israel is prepared for “a large scale military operation in Gaza” if calm cannot be maintained, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday, during a visit to Ashkelon.
“I prefer to maintain the tranquility, although we do not have the illusion that it is possible to reach a political agreement with this group [Hamas] that wants to wipe the State of Israel off the face of the earth,” Netanyahu said. “We are preparing for the offensive side, and the campaign is not only going to be broad, but also surprising.”

A Christian doctor in England could lose his medical license for interjecting faith into his meetings with patients.
Dr. Richard Scott, a general practitioner at the Bethesda Medical Center in Margate, Kent, is currently under investigation by the General Medical Council and the National Health Service.
“Right now, the chances are low, but there could be something to talk about as circumstances change,” a source close to Netanyahu said.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein have temporarily paused their effort to cancel the election and form a unity government, but sources close to them declared on Thursday night that the initiative is still not dead.

The balloons came despite Israel expanding the Gaza fishing zone up to 15 nautical miles starting at 10am and agreed to return 60 boats that had been confiscated from Gazans.
Several fires broke out in southern Israel over the weekend sparked by incendiary balloons on Friday as thousands of Palestinians demonstrated along the Gaza border, despite an understanding reached between Israel and Hamas to restore calm.

For years, the Sea of Galilee has been shrinking. Then, this past winter delivered a pleasant surprise to the biblical lake. While this ancient body of water isn’t out of danger, a rainy winter has helped bring relief.

The eastern European country of Moldova announced Tuesday that it will move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, which would make it the first European country to have an embassy in Jerusalem.
The Cabinet of Ministers also decided to approve an agreement on the sale of the plot of land for the construction of the Embassy of the United States of America in the Republic of Moldova.

CBS and NBC edited out or ignored comments “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek made about prayers helping his recovery, according to a conservative media watchdog group.
When Trebek, who was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, spoke to People Magazine, he credited prayer with playing a factor in the success of his chemo treatments.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating whether two airports are committing religious discrimination in their attempts to ban Chick-fil-A.
In a Friday statement to The Hill, the FAA noted it had received complaints that Chick-fil-A was banned over the religious views of its owners and was looking into whether this was a violation of federal law.
